Our Story

Our Story
In 2017, a couple of school friends and their partners headed to South Africa to celebrate the festival of 50.

Maybe it was being overwhelmed by the sunsets on the Savannah or one too many beers on safari but they came back determined to build their own craft brewery!

Construction and fitout of the 800sqm brewery building began in 2018, and the journey followed by a legion of craft beer fans.

With the invaluable assistance of a head brewer and talented teams from the craft brewing industry, in July 2019 we launched Devil’s Hollow Brewery in Blueridge Business Park, Dubbo.

Dubbo, home to the globally famous Taronga Western Plains Zoo, now has its very own world class craft brewery.

Since opening in the thick of drought, bushfires, dust storms, and then Covid, but being only 4 hours from Sydney, Devil’s Hollow Brewery has attracted many hundreds of thousands of tourists and travellers beyond our own loyal community.

With a core range of 9 beers, these range from mid-strength, munich helles and lager to wit bier to a spread of belgian, pale, red, indian, new england and dark ales.

In addition to a focus on creating awesome beers Devil’s Hollow Brewery is committed to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

Brewing waste is sent to local farms and a 90kw solar system is installed to power our 12hl brewhouse, restaurant and the heating & cooling required for a space to fit 400 patrons. A custom built water treatment system was designed to ensure that any wastewater is cleaned before it goes into the sewer line - we don't even use cardboard coasters!

The small team leading Devil’s Hollow Brewery has created a wonderful brewpub from their own self-funded backs, where long hours and hard work have paid off with the outcome of an amazing craft beer experience to the local community and visitors.

We love getting asked "where can we buy your amazing beer?" and are excited that we‘re expanding the availability of our beers, and their Dubbo stories, right across Australia!
