Our brewer and the locals, tell of an explosive Geurie crossing loop collison in 1963, when a high speed, Sydney bound mail train collided with a goods train waiting at the station. Causing a massive derailment and causing an epic aftermath.
The track was closed for three days & both locomotives were destroyed, never to return to service again.
What a commotion!
